With Apple's iOS 14, Android 10, and Windows 10, Locally Administered MAC addresses have shot to prominence as now devices are connecting to networks using a MAC address that isn’t their Globally Unique MAC address.

This protects the users privacy and keeps networks from being able to identify them.
