Zen and the Art of 6GHz Wi-Fi Design

TEN Talk

We have all been excited about the release of 6 GHz spectrum for Wi-Fi applications for about 2-3 years now. Initial Wi-Fi 6E products are finally available from the AP equipment vendors.

But now, how do we optimally design for not one, not two, but three Wi-Fi bands? How do we handle the benefits of greenfield security and MCS rates of 6 GHz while still supporting legacy clients?

How do we handle not just the expense of new APs, but new switches that support more than 30 W per port?

How do we upgrade an existing 802.11ac or 802.11ax design properly, when we may have placement and/or switch upgrade limitations?

This presentation shall reveal some practical considerations in new and upgraded design techniques for integrating 6 GHz into our Wi-Fi deployments.
