Wi-Fi or Water – What is More Easily Available, Well it Depends on Where You Are!
I travelled all over the world in the last year from the biggest hotels in US and Europe to the remotest villages in rural India. In Europe I had to pay some euros for a bottle of water in the hotel, but the Wi-Fi was completely free, and the connectivity was seamless. And the very next week I am in India drinking completely free fresh water from a stream by the farmland in a remote village in India, but with no signs of any Wi-Fi signal anywhere for miles irrespective of how much money I was willing to spend.
While as Wi-Fi geeks we all look into how we can save a few seconds by making our Hotspot connectivity even more seamless, there is a large part of the world where even basic Wi-Fi connectivity can make huge real live changing impact. In this presentation we talk about how we are able to make a difference in lives of students, women and men in remote villages in India by getting them access to values content on the Internet by creating Wi-Fi connectivity to schools and other public areas in remote locations in India.
