1 Million Wi-Fi Associations Later: The RF Isn't Always the Problem | PRG 26

After analysing more than 1,000,000 Wi‑Fi client associations from production enterprise networks, we discovered that many assumptions underlying WLAN design and troubleshooting simply do not hold up in practice. Clients don't always choose the best band; they roam less often than expected, and a small number of devices generate a disproportionate amount of retransmissions.

Using real-world data from live deployments, this session explores how clients actually behave, where common design assumptions diverge from reality, and what that means for modern WLAN design and operations.
