Building on the interoperability insights presented at #WLPC Prague 2025, this session provides an updated view through exclusive technical insights from Wi-Fi Alliance's 2026 multi-vendor interoperability events.

As part of its continued efforts to advance multi-vendor interoperability, performance characterization, and deployment readiness across the Wi-Fi ecosystem, Wi-Fi Alliance conducted a series of industry test events throughout 2026. These events brought together products from multiple vendors to evaluate real-world behavior beyond standards compliance and certification testing.

#WLPC Prague 2026 talk from Wi-Fi Alliance will highlight the most significant technical observations from these 2026 interop events, focusing on recurring interoperability challenges, and engineering best practices identified through collaborative testing including. Topics include early Wi-Fi 8 forward compatibility findings, comparative performance between Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 devices, device power-consumption behavior, Multi-Link Operation (MLO) implementation variability, sticky client behavior and BTM-assisted roaming across vendors, and deployment challenges involving legacy and IoT devices.
