Cellular for Wi-Fi Professionals | PRG 26

Cellular technology is used by everyone everyday. Yet few Wi-Fi engineers understand how it works.

This deep dive will dig into cellular technology, from the Core to the RAN to the Clients. Since access to spectrum, like CBRS, are more challenging to get in Europe, we will be testing using carrier networks.

We will discuss the options for Private Cellular and Carrier Cellular in Europe. Students will also be able to test and explore a Cellular Core and RAN.

Using a Lab of WLANPI with 5G, we will measure and play with the cellular network, from connecting to troubleshooting to the benefits and drawbacks compared to Wi-Fi. This will be a modification of my bootcamp from Phoenix.
