This talk is about making roaming easier to understand and easier to explain. Using simple visuals and analogies, we will break down what roaming is, why the client makes the final decision, what the network can influence, and why there is no single magic checkbox that fixes every roaming issue.
We will also look at how roaming has improved over time with tools like 802.11k, 802.11v, and 802.11r, where they help, and where good RF design and client behavior still matter. If you have ever had to explain why a device stayed too long, roamed too late, or dropped during a handoff, this session will give you a clearer way to tell that story.
