Keith Parsons is CWNE #3, one of the first in the world to earn the Certified Wireless Network Expert credential. For 25 years he has worked in nothing but wireless, and in that time he has designed Wi-Fi in 100+ countries and flown close to 5 million miles to do it.

‍

The range is the point. Keith has built Wi-Fi from above the Arctic Circle to 800 meters underground in a diamond mine: open-pit and coal mines, oil refineries, trains, boats, planes, stadiums, hospitals, airports, hotels, offices, and the top of the Empire State Building. He has designed Wi-Fi for over 4,000 classrooms.

‍

Keith is the founder and Managing Director of Wireless LAN Professionals, Inc., and the founder and host of the Wireless LAN Professionals Conference (#WLPC), the vendor-neutral gathering he has grown across 30+ events worldwide over the past 12 years. The Wi-Fi design checklist he built is embedded in a dozen-plus vendor apps and AP-vendor dashboards.

‍

He has taught over 10,000 people Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting, holds 100+ technical certifications and an MBA from the Marriott School of Management, and hosts the Heavy Wireless podcast on Packet Pushers. Twenty-five years of his posts, talks, podcasts and plain-language guides are free at library.wlanpros.com, alongside the free WLAN Pros Toolbox app. The throughline of all of it: fundamentals over hype, and Wi-Fi that just works.
